Real Mallorca want to buy back West Brom midfielder Borja Valero.

The Sunday Mercury says Albion paid £4.7 million to sign Valero from Mallorca last summer but the 24-year-old Spaniard has struggled to make a major impact at The Hawthorns.

Despite leaving him out of the side, Albion manager Tony Mowbray recently gave Valero a vote of confidence.

But if Albion lose their increasingly uphill battle to avoid relegation Valero's long-term future seems certain to be on the agenda at the club this summer.
