Bologna coach Alberto Malesani is delighted to see the club change hands.

Massimo Zanetti, the owner of the Segafredo coffee company, bought a majority stake in Bologna towards the tail end of last week.

"Bologna had need of a person like this," Malesani explained. "Teams that do something important always have a certain kind of President behind them.

"We must applaud those who have managed to save Bologna not with words, but with facts."

He added: "I believe that in the end our old President was clever to sell the club to the right person."
