Steed Malbranque is satisfied with his early season form for Sunderland but is diappointed with only the one win. The 30 year old told the Newcastle Chronicle: "I have really enjoyed playing in these games. I think we have played well in all of them.
"And I hope that people can see that we have a good young team at Sunderland, a team that is doing very well right now.
"I thought we played really well against Liverpool as a team and we showed good spirit to come back from them scoring so early."
"We have played some good teams and got some good results, and I think that although you might not see it in the points, it is a very good sign for the future.
"We have shown that we have the players and the game to hold the top teams and now we have to make sure we take that into the Manchester United game this weekend."
