Selangor midfielder Safiq Rahim is set to start his three-week trial with Championship club Cardiff City.
The 24-year old Malaysia international has been given the chance to train with the Bluebirds by club owner Datuk Chan Tien Ghee and he admits he is excited about the opportunity.
"It's a chance that I've been waiting for," Safiq was quoted as saying on bernama.com.
"This is the best opportunity for me to show my football skills. I know it's tough but nothing is impossible.
"My dream is to become the first Malaysian to play in England."
Safiq becomes the second Malaysian to train with the Welsh outfit following Safee Sali's spell at the Cardiff City Stadium in September.
