Malaysian company deny point blank Leeds interest

Malaysia-based conglomerate Genting have dismissed rumours about purchasing or investing in ChampionshipLeeds United, reports the Yorkshire Post. The development follows speculation that the global company, who have interests in tourism, resorts, gaming and plantations, could be lining up a move for the club.

But the company have moved swiftly to firmly deny any interest.

A Genting statement said: "Following rumours circulating around social media and the local press, Genting would like to make it clear that we have absolutely no interest in purchasing or investing in Leeds United Football Club."
