Malaysia Cup winners agree Puma deal

German sports brand Puma has agreed a three-year sponsorship deal with Malaysian team Pahang, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The agreement will see Puma supply the reigning Malaysia Cup champions with their home and away kits as well as training apparel for the next three seasons.

According to Malaysian press reports, the deal is worth around US$300,000 per year.

The Malaysia Super League outfit, who count former Queens Park Rangers players Zesh Rehman and Damion Stewart among their ranks, were crowned 2013 Malaysia Cup champions in front of an estimated crowd of 85,000 in November.

Tengku Abdul Rahman Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, the president of the Pahang Football Association, said: "I am delighted with Puma coming on board as sponsors with long lasting cooperation. Such bond can only take us to new horizon in the 2014 season."

The new Super League season gets underway with Pahang's Charity Shield clash with reining league champions Lions XII on Friday 17th January.
