Malaga signing Julio Baptista has said his final farewells to AS Roma.
The former Real Madrid and Arsenal attacker admits he failed to live up to expectations at Roma.
He said: "I am a little sad on the one hand because I have not been able to give the best of myself in the last year for a number of negative circumstances. And this upsets me because I have always tried to help the team.
"I am leaving with a beautiful memory of the fans and their passion. I will never forget their happiness after my goal in the derby.
"It was a great emotion. We were coming off a difficult run. The results weren't arriving. Like now, Lazio were in front of us in the table. We played a great game.
"I scored a header. I remember the Curva Sud. The fans were crazy with joy."
