Malaga sporting director Mario Husillos revealed Inter Milan made an attempt for Ignacio Camacho this week.
Inter were one of the big spending clubs of the winter market.
"We received a call for Camacho, not a real offer," the director revealed to Mundo Deportivo.
"Javier Zanetti called, to ask about a possible negotiation. We replied that anyone who wants the midfielder would have to pay his 20m buyout clause."
