Malaga have passed on the option of signing permanently on-loan Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz.
The Paraguay international's contract at City expires in June, but he won't be offered terms by Malaga.
Former Bayern Munich striker Santa Cruz has been linked with a return to Germany.
