Malaga have snapped up Sevilla defender Sergio Sanchez.

The 25-year-old Sanchez, who underwent a heart operation last year and did not play for 12 months before returning for Sevilla in January, passed a medical before penning a four-year contract.

Former Espanyol defender Sanchez will be presented alongside another new boy, midfielder Diego Buonanotte.

Malaga have been hugely active in the transfer market since the end of last season, bringing in Joaquin Sanchez, Martin Demichelis, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Nacho Monreal, Jeremy Toulalan and Joris Mathijsen, as well as Sanchez and Buonanotte.
