Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero is in contact with Manchester City.
The Manchester Evening News says the Malaga keeper has expressed an interest in a reunion with former boss Manuel Pellegrini, to become number two to Joe Hart.
It is thought preliminary talks have taken place with a view to the Argentine stepping in for Costel Pantilimon, who departs on a free transfer.
