Malaga defender Diego Llorente says parent club Real Madrid are in regular contact.

Despite Malaga's struggles this year, Madrid have not been shy in getting in contact with the young defender as they look to provide a confidence boost, but his future after this season remains unclear.

"Yes, [they've contacted me] on several occasions," he stated.

"When I was injured they were worried about me, and when I wasn't playing much at the start of the season, they gave me support.

"I don't ask [about next year], that's something I'll think about at the end of the season. At present, the focus is preparing for the Atletico Madrid match and securing our safety. There will be time to think in the future."
