Palmeiras midfielder Jorge Valdivia is attracting the interest of big-spending Malaga.

The Chile international, 27, has an admirer in Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini, who fancies giving his countryman a new chance to prove himself in Spain.

Valdivia has previous experience in the Primera Division with Rayo Vallecano, where he lasted five games eight years ago.

Genoa are also watching the midfielder leading up to the winter market.
