Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini admits his approach to management was never in synch with the culture of Real Madrid.

Pellegrini endured a difficult season in charge of Real after success with Villarreal.

And he explained: "The idea of development that Madrid has does not correspond at all with how I think you build a team capable of winning titles.

"When they saw that I was not in that line, I did not feel obligated to select certain players, stars, I began to become isolated."
