Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini is emerging as a target for Chelsea.

The Telegraph says Pellegrini has emerged as the favourite to take over as Chelsea's next manager.

Pellegrini has always figured highly in Chelsea's thinking, along with Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho and also David Moyes, whose contract at Everton runs out at the end of this season.

Pellegrini ticks all the boxes for the type of coach that Chelsea are looking for: the Chilean is a disciplinarian with a commitment to attacking football, he can deal with big-name players and speaks fluent English.

It has also been suggested that Manchester City might be interested in the former Villarreal and Real Madrid coach.
