Malaga chief Antonio Fernandez has played down talk of a January raid on Real Madrid for Raul Albiol and Esteban Granero.

The pair are being linked with a move to big-spending Malaga when the winter market opens.

But Fernandez says: "I wish not to discuss the winter market because it will signal that we are very happy with the squad and what we have done in the summer.

"We're not signing Albiol. There has been no contact with Albiol and no rush to change the squad. These names only appear in the press."
