Atletico Madrid wing-back Juan Valera is set to join Malaga.

Malaga have moved ahead of Osasuna to land Valera, who spent last season on-loan at Racing Santander.

Valera recently signed a new three-year deal with Atletico, but knows there is little chance of regular first team action if he stays at the Vicente Calderon this season.
