Claude Makelele says Chelsea's players are aware the club are planning major signings in the summer.

"With or without titles Chelsea is one of the best teams in the world and nobody can dispute that," said the 35 year-old. "I have read about investment for next season.

"The players have no influence over that but if there are good signings then the team will benefit.

"The team is very calm and no-one is worrying about whether there will be many people leaving or not."
