Claude Makelele's new Chelsea contract includes a clause allowing him to play for France whenever he wants to.

The midfielder, 34, fell out with boss Jose Mourinho last year when he went back on a promise to retire from international football.

He made sure there will be no club v country row this season before agreeing to a new two-year, £60,000-a-week deal.
