Burnley boss Sean Dyche has revealed Ashley Barnes is solely responsible for his superb form.
Barnes started just once in those first ten games, in the 2-2 draw at Leicester City, meaning that the Clarets have taken 13 points in the 10 games he has started, compared with just three from the nine he hasn't.
Dyche revealed that Barnes, a £750,000 capture in the last January transfer window, had been to see him before the Hull game to see what else he could do to force his way into the side.
"He came in and asked me about it," said Dyche to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, "I spoke to him about what he had to do, reminded him of what he is good at, and he has taken it on board and he has moved forward.
"There were big questions marks when I put him in, some of our fans weren't sure, but I think they're a bit more sure at the moment."
