Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee Announces Suspension and Fines

The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee has fined New York Red Bulls midfielder Jorge Rojas $750 and suspended him one additional game. The decision comes for an egregious offense and failure to leave the field in a timely and orderly manner after being issued a red card in the Red Bulls game on May 16 versus the Houston Dynamo.

The Disciplinary Committee also fined Real Salt Lake defender Ian Joy $500 for inappropriate comments directed at the officiating crew at halftime of Real Salt Lake's game versus the Kansas City Wizards on May 16, 2009.
