Mainz are eager to sign permanently Tottenham winger Georges-Kévin Nkoudou.

Nkoudou is expected to sign on-loan with Mainz today to the end of the season.

However, L'Equipe says Mainz also want to secure a permanent option for the French midfielder and talks will centre on such a clause today.

Nkoudou was also interesting St Etienne this month.

The midfielder has struggled since joining Spurs two years ago, spending last season on-loan with Burnley.
