Mainz boss Tuchel hints at possible Asian role

FSV Mainz manager Thomas Tuchel has opened the door to a possible future move into national team management.

The 40-year old currently oversees the likes of South Korean pair Koo Ja-cheol and Park Joo-ho as well as Japanese ace Shinji Okazaki and it is the influence of the Asian trio which has forced Tuchel to ponder a few questions about his coaching career.

"Our East Asians are fantastic," he said.

"If they're all like that, I definitely need to get a job in charge of a national team somewhere over there."

Tuchel, who arrived at the Coface Arena in 2009, has guided Mainz to seventh position in the Bundesliga table this season following last term's finish of 13th.
