Maierhofer wants Wolves future after Bristol City switch

Stefan Maierhofer remains confident of a future at Wolves after joining Bristol City on-loan.

The six foot seven and a half inch frontman wants to do everything possible in the Championship, starting with his time at City until April 11.

He said: "It's always been my dream to play football in England. I've had a few games for Wolves and the atmosphere, the fans and the stadiums here are fantastic.

"I have no problem dropping down into the Championship to get games. This is still a very tough division. When I arrived here and saw the stadium, the superb pitch, it makes me hungry to play.

"I had a quick session on the pitch with the gaffer yesterday afternoon and hopefully I'll be involved in some part for tonight's game.

"I work hard and always give my best. Technically I may not be the best footballer, but I play with my heart and my soul to give my best for the fans and the club.

"I will run for 90 minutes. I may be the tallest player in English football, but it's important for me to score goals and play well. I'm six-foot, seven-and-a-half and hopefully I'll be able to receive lots of crosses into the box to get on the end of.

"It's important to play games. I had 10 days out in January after a hernia operation and haven't been back in the first team squad since. I'm 27 years old and I want to be playing games.

"I'm happy to be here. I'm here for 28 days and hopefully I can help move the team up the league."
