The agent of Inter Milan's Maicon has said his client would not consider playing for Manchester City even if they offered him a lucrative contract.

Antonio Caliendo insists it would be 'unthinkable' for his Brazilian client to end up at Eastlands as he is enjoying plenty of success with Inter and would only really consider offers from either Manchester United or Real Madrid.

"If the likes of Real or United knock on the door then you consider the eventual offers - but we are talking about a top player who is fighting for the league title, the Champions League, the best player in his role, what would he be doing at City?" Caliendo said.

"I think it would be unthinkable, let's not joke about it."

Despite the fact Maicon is contracted with Inter until 2013, there continues to be speculation about his future at the club but Caliendo rubbished those rumours.

"Every day there's a story linking Maicon to a different club. First it was Real Madrid, then Manchester United and now City," he added.

"I think Maicon has already reiterated his wish to remain at Inter."
