AS Roma veteran Douglas Maicon feels they're closing the gap on Juventus.

The Lupi are one point behind the Bianconeri at the top of Serie A.

"We've brought more quality into the squad, we've grown," Maicon told Roma TV.

"Our way of playing has also grown, but the motivation and will to win are the same. We must always work for Roma.

"As for Juventus, there's not much difference, they're having a similar season to last term but this year I think they've dropped points in games which last year they didn't and that can be an important point in our favour.

"We've been one point behind several times, we have to do our job and pick up points, we can only think about ourselves.

"We'll do our best to collect points, then we'll see what happens."
