Maicon insists he never wanted out of Inter Milan

Douglas Maicon denies he ever considered leaving Inter Milan.

The Brazilian’s future has been in some doubt at San Siro ever since links emerged with Real Madrid over 12 months ago.

“It’s not true that I wanted to leave Inter a year ago,” the right-back told Inter Channel when asked about the speculation.

“I went to the World Cup after the Champions League Final before returning to my work with Inter, where I am happy.

“However, every now and again things are said about me which are not true.”
