The agent of Douglas Maicon is adamant the Brazilian fullback will stay with Inter Milan.

Manchester United and Real Madrid were linked with Maicon in yesterday's press.

But last night, Maicon's agent, Antonio Caliendo, revealed he had spoken with Inter president Massimo Moratti during the afternoon and said last night: "It has been reaffirmed to me that Inter want to keep my client.

"The president absolutely wants him to stay."
