Hull City defender Harry Maguire is hopeful of breaking into the first team during the upcoming Championship campaign.
Maguire was subject to interest from Bristol City this summer but Hull manager Steve Bruce categorically stated that the defender was not for sale. The defender said: "I don't really pay much attention to it. The first thing I realised was when it was in the papers. I'm still very happy here.
"Obviously the gaffer has rejected the bid and that shows he's got great faith in me. It proves that he trusts me and that's a confidence boost going into pre-season.
"When you see a club coming in and the gaffer turning it down, that can only give me confidence going into the friendlies and the start of the season."
