Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor has stated that he is very excited ahead of his return from injury.

Taylor will be making his long awaited return from injury when Newcastle United square off against Sacramento Republic on Saturday and ahead of the clash, the defender has stated his delight at being able to make a return to the pitch once again.

Taylor said: "I can't wait. It's been tough but I'm delighted to be back. You can feel this is the start of something new."
