Sergio Aguero has remained in Argentina after the Copa America and not returned to training with Atletico Madrid. Aguero was officially meant to return to the Spanish capital on Sunday.
Manchester City are in advanced talks to sign the player and sources close to the deal have insisted that the move will be finalised early next week.
Aguero's agents met with City earlier this week and now the two clubs just need to finalise terms.
Whilst Atletico will meet his agents and continue talks with City, they are ready to hand out a fine to their want-away stay.
