Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has rubbished reports of an impending deal to sell young keeper David de Gea to Manchester United. According to the British media, United are close to agreeing a £15million swoop for the 20-year-old, who has built a burgeoning reputation since establishing himself as the first-choice number one at Atletico.
However, according to Cerezo there has been no contact with anybody about De Gea, who has a contract with the Rojiblancos until 2013.
"Nobody has spoken with us. Nor do I have any idea (about this matter)," Cerezo was quoted as saying today by Spanish newspaper AS.
"We hope that he will be a Rojiblanco player for a long time."
