Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo's statement on Facebook yesterday left local Madrid media non-plussed. Branded 'ambiguous' by some media outlets, Ronaldo made the post after his return to training at Real during the day.

After talking about his international commitments, Ronaldo stated: "I would like to reaffirm, without being concerned about contracts, that my focus is solely on winning every game and every available trophy with the essential company of my team-mates and all madridistas (Madrid fans)."

There was no pledge of long-term commitment to Real, nor any expansion on his "sad" claims after victory over Granada last week.

Ronaldo will enter a crunch meeting with Real president Florentino Perez today.
