Madejski urges Reading fans to return

Reading chairman John Madejski has pleaded with fans to return as they struggle to kickstart their season.

Madejski said: "The next two home games are extremely important and the players will be going all out to gain maximum points to climb the table.

"It would help immensely if they are cheered on by a capacity crowd here.

"The club has always been conscious of the need to attract new fans as well as welcoming back long-term fans. Hopefully this offer will help."

Fans' spokesman Jon Keen said: "Many people think they've no chance of getting a ticket. It's good the club are trying to attract back casual fans."
