Former West Ham United star Martin Allen says Avram Grant deserves more credit for their form reversal.
Grant has the Hammers edging closer to safety.
Allen told talkSPORT: "He deserves a lot of credit, Avram Grant. A lot of people were not that keen on him. I really like him and I think he's a very good manager to have when your team's near the bottom of the league.
"He's very level, he's very calm. He doesn't get too excited and then on the other side of it he doesn't get too down."
When asked if he would stick with Grant next season and allow him the money to build a team Allen continued, "Yes I would, I think you have to.
"Over the last three months on form West Ham are midtable. There's only six points between the teams at the bottom and the teams in 11th. It's such a tight division."
