MacMath family excited about Philadelphia Union move for Zac

Gary MacMath, the father of Philadelphia Union draftee Zac, was not at all perturbed about his son leaving Florida.

The 19-year old goalkeeper was selected at pick number 5 in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft last week and will now leave his hometown of St Petersburg to make a new home in Chester.

But MacMath Snr, who played his soccer in Philly, is looking forward to frequent trips to his old stomping ground, where he still has family.

"I have some Southwest Airlines miles that I'll definitely be taking advantage of now," Gary told Philly.com.

"This is fantastic, we couldn't be more proud of Zac, plus we have family in the area, so it's a treat for all of us to have him play in Philadelphia."
