Malky Mackay is again being linked with West Ham United.
The Daily Star Sunday says despite the Londoners' 2-0 win at fellow-strugglers Cardiff City yesterday, it would appear only a matter of time before Sam Allardyce gets the bullet.
And ironically, Mackay, dismissed by the Welsh club 13 days ago, is the man Gold and Sullivan believe can rescue their club from an increasingly desperate position.
They will attempt to lure him to Upton Park by assuring the former Watford boss that even if West Ham did drop out of the top flight he would remain their choice to get them back up.
Glenn Hoddle is also being mentioned as the man to take over West Ham if Allardyce fails to convince his board he is the man to save the club from relegation.
