New Palermo signing Massimo Maccarone is confident of striking an effective partnership with Fabrizio Miccoli.
The former Middlesbrough and Empoli striker was expected to be a huge success when he joined the Premier League, but last season failed to avoid Siena's relegation.
"I would hope and believe that my best years are ahead of me, even if I have experienced some great moments, especially at Siena," said Maccarone.
"President Maurizio Zamparini wanted me here at all costs and that was very pleasing. I may be 30 years old, but I hope to bring a little experience after arriving in a prestigious club that in recent years achieved important objectives.
"Miccoli is a great player and I've already had the chance to talk to him and our other teammates. It seems to be a fine group with good lads and that is enough to form a great team."
