Former Tottenham captain Gary Mabbutt admits the fans are seeking more "razzamatazz".
Spurs toiled to a 0-0 draw at Everton yesterday.
"After all the changes in the summer with Gareth (Bale) going to Real Madrid and bringing in seven new players it's always going to be difficult for those players to settle in quickly," he told talkSPORT.
"The manager knows the style of play he wants and the team have worked very hard. We are set for the counter-attacking game, so I think at times at home the fans maybe would like to see a bit more razzmatazz and a bit more tempo out on the field."
