OL chairman Jean-Michel Aulas told the press that Sir Alex Ferguson called him to speak about Ben Arfa and Karim Benzema, the French shining stars of the moment.
But flying winger Ben Arfa has committed himself to Les Gones and said he is ‘100 per cent with Lyon'.
The young talent has also expressed his thoughts on the highly anticipated clash with United next week in the Champions League.
"There is nothing at all [with Manchester United]," he told Lyon's official website. "I am 100 per cent with Lyon.
"We are going to play two very big games. We respect them for their history but they remain human beings. It will be 50/50.
"We have to be confident and not to have any complexes. We are as good as them. They have very good players, a great team.
"The fact they lost [against Manchester City] doesn't count - they will be at their best against us. They are as good as from the start of the season.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is a great player, but they also have [Carlos] Tevez, [Wayne] Rooney and [Ryan] Giggs. We will have to pay attention to them.
"We have to concentrate on our football, not on them. I watched their game last Sunday. I noticed that they don't like teams that play in counter-attacks. They don't really like to defend.
"So our tactic will be to play our football. We want to shine, to surpass ourselves. It is a collective and individual test."
