Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis is in limbo over his proposed move to Newcastle United.
The Evening Chronicle says Gomis' representatives have not heard from United whether they want to revive their interest in the Lyon star.
Gomis has been linked with a move to Marseille, and Toon chief Joe Kinnear has been angered by the constant rise in price for the striker every time United feel they are close to securing the 28-year-old.
