Bafetimbi Gomis is close to joining an English club according to his agent.
The Lyon striker, who has been heavily linked with Newcastle United, is also attracting interest from clubs in Italy but his representative Francesco Di Frisco suggests he will make his next home in the Premier League.
"I've recently been talking to both (Roma sporting director Walter) Sabatini and (Lazio sporting director Igli) Tare and they told me Bafe is not among their main names on tabs," the representative told Tuttomercatoweb.
"He's instead close to moving to the Premier League; we are in talks with several clubs.
"His 2.5 million annual wages give a big advantage to English clubs."
