Former PSG president Alain Cayzac has revealed Lyon striker Fred priced himself out of a move to Tottenham in the summer.

"The player's brother thinks our wage offer is ridiculous and asks for more, plus a massive bonus for signing, which makes the deal impossible to be done," Cayzac said on his autobiography 'Impossible Passion, My 20 Years In Charge Of PSG, From The Dream To The Nightmare'.

"Even Tottenham do not manage to match the player's demand. That is surrealist."
