Lyon midfielder Kim Kallstrom is a target for West Ham United.

The Sunday Mirror says Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola will move for the Swede if he can raise funds in the January market.

The 27-year-old, who is also being monitored by Portsmouth and Blackburn, is keen to ply his trade in the Premier League following a successful three-year spell in France.

With doubts continuing to surround the fitness of Kieron Dyer and the likes of Luis Jimenez and Alessandro Diamanti struggling to adapt to the demands of the English game, Zola is keen to ease the pressure on his squad.

And the Italian reckons Kallstrom could be the perfect answer to his midfield troubles.
