Lyon defender Aly Cissokho says he is not reading into rumours linking him with a move to Newcastle United.

The 24-year old French full-back is again a target for the Magpies according to reports but he insists there is nothing solid among all the paper talk.

"There is nothing concrete so far," he told L'Equipe.

"I will talk with the technical staff this week. Since the last transfer market there have been a lot of rumours, but I haven't taken any notice."

And Cissokho said he was not disenchanted in missing out on a proposed move to the Toon in the summer.

"No, why should I? I am happy to be here," he added.

"I am in the starting XI of a club that plays in the Champions League, with a coach that trusts me. I am not in a situation where I don't play."
