Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas says a deal is close for Roma defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.

The centre-back is ready to make the transfer to Ligue 1 for €9m.

“Negotiations with Roma are at an advanced stage," Aulas told L'Equipe.

“We will continue discussions over the weekend. There are few of his level around on the transfer market.

“We hope to close the deal on Monday or Tuesday."
