Olympique Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas admits Real Madrid have come knocking for star striker Karim Benzema.

"Real Madrid are interested in signing him as well as Barcelona and Manchester United. We also received a very interesting offer from an English club in January, but the player wasn't ready to leave Lyon," said Aulas.

"There are opportunities that do not come twice, which must be negotiated. If there are potential buyers, offers must be assessed taking into consideration the economic benefit."
