PSG came in with a last ditch bid for former Manchester United attacker Memphis Depay, it has been revealed.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed a last-ditch bid could have stopped the deal going through.
Memphis was allowed to leave Old Trafford having failed to live up to the potential that saw Louis Van Gaal spend £25m on him in 2015.
While Manchester United managed to bring in up to £21.7m from his departure, Aulas has claimed they could have received more.
Speaking at Memphis' presentation as a Lyon player, he suggested domestic rivals Paris St-Germain made a late move to trump his team.
Aulas told journalists: “We were outbid by PSG at the last minute."
