Olympique Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas has jumped to the defence of France midfielder Paul Pogba.

Aulas insists the Manchester United midfielder deserves better press.

He told Le Parisien: "I like him a lot. Those who do not like him know him less well. When you have the chance to be in contact with him, he is nice, unlike an image he returns.

"It's his personality that's like that. Behind, there is someone ultra-sensitive. This is the case for all players, that's why I'm confident. The intrinsic technical qualities of players and their personalities will emerge now."
