Olympique Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas wants to keep Liverpool waiting over the prospect of selling Nabil Fekir.
Liverpool are seeking talks with OL this week and are willing to pay €60m for the attacker.
However, L'Equipe says Aulas is fielding rival interest from Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich - and senses he can spark an auction.
Indeed, he now believes if they can wait until after the World Cup, Fekir's price will skyrocket.
Liverpool are aware of Aulas' plans, with sports director Michael Edwards planning to travel to France to convince Aulas to sell before the Russian tournament kicks off.
